Office of the City Clerk

The Office of the City Clerk is a division of the Administration Department. The City Clerk maintains the permanent records of the city, which include all City Council agendas and minutes, commission minutes, agreements, resolutions and ordinances; oversees business licensing and processing of alcohol licensing; manages tort claims filed against the City; and works in conjunction with the county on coordination of elections. Business Licensing

The City of Moscow does not require general business licenses; however, specific types of businesses do require licenses. Follow the link below to access the specific fees, requirements and applications associated with each.

City Council Meetings

The City Clerk attends City Council and Council committee meetings to record proceedings and prepare minutes of the meetings. Commission Meetings

Elections

The City Clerk works in conjunction with the County Clerk on coordination of election activities throught the Election's Office of Latah County. For more information, see the City's election page, Latah County website, and/or the Election's Office of Latah County.

Insurance Claims

The Office of the City Clerk manages, reviews and processes tort claims filed against the City in accordance with State law. To file a claim for damage, loss or injury, please complete the Claim for Damage form. Include any photos and documentation to assist in processing the claim. Return the form and attachments to the Administration office on the third floor of City Hall or by emailing the documents to clerk@ci.moscow.id.us.

Public Records

The City Clerk processes all requests to examine City public records. All police records and reports are processed by the Moscow Police Department. Use the links below for more information and to complete the appropriate form.
